Tasks / Artistic Patent (in Progress)

It's tempting to look around and declare that new media artworks are identifiable by their application of a novel process to an artistic aim. Has this always been true? Are we more infatuated with the novel - frequently technological - processes in art as they flit assymtotically closer to commerce, to point "0"?
Set aside your reticence or pride (as appropriate), and apply for a patent for your novel, non-obvious, artistic process.
A patent is very expensive: "small entity" (that's you) fees start at $150.
Therefore, you may write the patent without actually applying for it.
