Collaborate with strangers on this creative photo-storybook project, where each page will include 2 components: a photo strip from a photo booth, and an accompanied short narrative (few sentences) about the photo, written from the perspective of the photo booth. Upon contribution, this book will be sent off to a stranger, who will paste his/her own photo strip and written narrative. The stories can be related or unrelated, as long as the narrative is from the perspective of the photo booth. This book will be constructed entirely from scratch, and can be accompanied by an online webspace to maintain updated additions. The webspace can also provide photo booth locations.
Members who chose to participate will provide their mailing addresses and be required to send the book to another address when they complete their contribution. Thus, the task is two fold: contribute to the book, then mail it to the next recipient. This project is intended to reach nationwide participation, or even international participation as desired.
The objective for this photo-storybook project is to creatively collaborate with strangers in an unexpected and intimate way. Since storytelling can be a personal process, sharing this experience with strangers with hopefully be an exhilarating if not liberating process for the participants, who may choose to write in a confessional manner, or simply an observational perspective. I invite you to contribute your narratives and photo content in your own way. however you feel is sufficient to your creative expression and constructive to the book as a whole.
