NYC version

I did this two years ago in New York--I walked the length of the Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan to Brooklyn and back. It was pretty amazing--I witnessed a wedding party on the harbor from high above; probably a Jersey wedding since all the women were wearing red poofy dresses.

I did this many times in New York as well. I crossed the George Washington Bridge though. Really cool experience... too bad its closed to pedestrian traffic after midnight now... I have to dump 18 bucks on a cab if I want to cross in the wee hours.

i'd say a NYC version counts. my only hesitation is that you did it *before*, and not specifically for the task.

This afternoon I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. I have never driven or ridden across it, so I can't compare the two both from experience. But as I walked from Manhattan to Brooklyn, I tried to imagine the contrasting experience drivers might have...

The differences are obvious. Outside the car it is very windy, making it very difficult to smoke. Took us a long time to cross as a result. Its a cool walk. It was kinda creepy under the bridge at the Marin side, shaky structure and loud truck noises...

I went to the Golden Gate to meet some friends. The plan was that they would approach from the Marin side and I would come from the San Francisco side and we'd meet in the middle. It didn't quite workout that way since I got all the way to Marin co...

Tonight cars were allowed on the bridge while pedestrians were fenced off. The first time i ever crossed the Golden Gate Bridge was in a car driven by my friend that was deciding about moving to Oakland. We walked through yuppilido, looked into...

seems silly to get points for doing something touristy but i could use some so i can start getting points for the cooler things i've done.
