In case no one's noticed, this is kind of an everyday thing for me. ;)
I'd feel a bit odd doing this myself, because I submitted it, but this is something I've wanted to do for a while now.
There's absolutely no reason not to do the tasks you propose. After all, why would you have submitted it if it didn't sound fun to you?
Of course. SFØ is based on interpretation of the task, interpret it as you wish.
It's all good.

To complete this task properly, I obviously needed some sophisticated equipment that would allow me to detect the presence of metal. So I built a metal detector - it was an extremely scientific process, as I'm sure you will be able to discern from t...

Before last night I had never listened to Pelican. All I had to go on was that they were from Chicago, instrumental, metal, and people of discriminating taste in metal liked them. So I had to seek them out and acquire some. They played the Empty Bot...

The following has happened in winter 2006. I claim to have completed this task by building a giant magnet on a rope [evidence #1, #2]. Every single disk of rare earth magnet has a theoretical holding capacity of 100kg on a flat surface. This gives ...

"Sounds fun, but how are we going to find any metal?" "GEOMANCY!" "Huh?" "It's a legit thing!" Once again, we find ourselves sitting around thinking of something to do. We hop right on the computer and start browsing through SF0.org. We see this t...

Hopped on over to geocaching.com and began searching for caches hidden in ammo canisters or magnetic nano-caches. Once I found a suitable cache, I inputted the coordinates into the good ol' gps device: N41 degrees 42.786 W071 degrees 28.574 Spent a...
Yesterday I was conversing with a friend of mine by way of the Internet, and I attempted to use the character 'è' which, he claims, came out on his end as some funky 'A' and an umlaut over nothing. Now, it may have passed by some of you whose sense...

I decided to use this task as an opportunity to do something I should be doing anyway. So I grabbed my trusty magnet wand... ...and headed to the floor under my sewing table. In progress... And these were the results! The pins on my mag...
