Research and enumerate the steps required and principles you'd have to compromise in order to make a comfortable living undertaking a specific artistic endeavor. You may also show other compromises required, if not your principles (i.e., no car; accept living without health insurance, etc). But it's not enough to say "I'd have to give up my mortgage," demonstrate for us how that's true. For comparison sake, it might be helpful to add in a column showing how far you'd have to go to move beyond comfort into wealth/fame/commodity. In any case Show. your. work.
