Tasks / Urbane Exploration 1
Find a building which is in active use. Explore it thoroughly and get to know its secrets.
Politely talking your way into the heart of the building is an excellent way to understand its psychogeography, and see how it affects those who occupy it. Your interactions with the building's owners and inhabitants (employees, residents, etc) are to be strictly positive; recruiting the authorities as guides is a far, far better thing than being ejected by them.
Completing this task in proper exploring attire, which may include such accoutrements as a waistcoat or a monocle, will likely result in additional votes.

Yes, especially for monocles and waistcoats. I mean how ELSE did the British explore the world.
Pith helmets as well. That and a waistcoat have helped me explore scary territory.
Lincoln, there is finally a market for your theory. Go forth and accessorize!
Oh, man, doing this. So many of the buildings at my campus are large and sprawling and upsettingly complicated. BUT NO LONGER!
Also, I own a pith helmet. I might even wear it. Although, if Sponty comes along, he gets to.
Oh this is such a throwback to college days- exploring the tunnels under campus. Though, we didn't so much ask for a guided tour....
I know somebody who managed to get a guided tour of the steam tunnels from the head of facilities management once.
I think somewhere like the London Underground would be a good place to do this. There are so many tunnels and secret areas.
If anyone wants to get in here... I work here can point in the direction of the basement, and sub basements.
We don't have steam tunnels. Or basements... :( oh well, I will find someplace even cooler to explore....
