Teams / CGØ / The Discourse of CGØ |
I'm leaving to begin my travels on the 28th of January. I'm brewing up some plans to SF0 in the Middle East. Let me know if anyone has any ideas. I'd love to collaborate.
We need to perform some sort of amazing collaboration soon, okay?
Iaman:
If you have a task in mind, let's start discussing...
Well, I mean, I kind of suppose we should attempt the Team HQ task. 'twould be rather appropriate for a team collab, methinks.
Who's up for a CGØ headquarters?
I don't think enough people actually check this... Mayhaps we should message the team.
Or come up with an idea, then ask who wants to help with it.
I'm up for the team hq thing, if people actually ever check this and get together. . .Iaman knows where/when to find me.
Snow fort for sure. Where's a good place?
This snow ain't gonna last.
Oh man, a snow fort would be awesome!
well, we should have plenty of opportunity to make one within the next few days. This icky rain we're having is supposed to turn to snow overnight and continue all day tomorrow. The handy little weather thing on my top panel says we're supposed to get about ten inches, total. And Ne0 ZeN knows how to make igloos
I'd like to congratulate all the new Chicago players - you've been executing some exceptional tasks!
For those who were wondering, you can associate your past and future task completions with the CGØ team under the Collaborators/Teams tab in your proof write-up (click on Edit Task at the top of a post to modify old completions). This will increase the team score and bring glory and cupcakes to all those who task in Chicago.
Hopefully I'll see you all at Journey To The End Of The Night. RSVP if you intend to come. I am still looking for a few good chasers, if you're up for it.
Zachary: is there a way we can manifest your Team HQ in physical form, such that we could all hang out there and throw waterballoons at enemy teams?
i wish so bad i could play journey to the end of the night! not that roller derby isn't totally awesome as well, but the timing is very sad indeed!
YAY. Hello CG0 peoples. Dax and a few others persuaded me into joining. And I found the CG group. That makes me happy. I think I'm going to bake blueberry muffins tonight. I will totally be at the Journey game.
Today we became the CityZero with the largest membership!
Where's that Team HQ - we should have a party.
Indeed, I do believe it is time for a Team HQ.
Also cupcakes.
Wow, we've got a lot of new members since Sunday!
One of my personal acquaintances in CG0 suggested that my apartment be made headquarters, since there will be no fewer than three of us living here come August, and one more spending more time here than he probably ought. I don't know the practicality of that now, though. . .
So far we have two maquette CGØ headquarters (Zachary and Miss Goblin Pants). Could we use your apartment as a staging ground for human-sized constructions of these HQ plans?
depends. . .would have to discuss with current roommate, who isn't moving out until May
Hey, team! Anyone else not doing anything for Easter and want to task with me on Sunday?
Wow, we REALLY have a lot of members now.
I wish I was in Chicago and could task with all you guys, but I am currently in the suburbs (Geneva, to be precise) being a lazy bum and mooching free food off my family while under the guise of "being on spring break" so I cannot readily do anything.
Also I left my camera in Chicago (oops!) and so I can't really do much out here unless I can secure a camera or something!
I'll be back at the start of April, though, so be prepared for me!
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We have cleared team GYØ in points (I know, I know, it's hard to believe!) - and to think that just two weeks ago, our score was hardly 200. I am quite impressed.
Cheers to the new blood! Keep rocking the Praxis like this, and we'll make short work of UKØ!
This can't really be a praxis, because I didn't do any task (that I am aware of) while taking these photos, but I imagine I'm not the only Chicagoan who has always wondered what it looks like inside the Palm Terrace. Sadly, I have no idea how to get into this building, but at least I finally figured out how to take pictures through the windows.
So if you, like me, always wondered what was in there, now you can find out.

Palm Terrace |
Do not worry, men, I will be back in Chicago shortly. And by shortly I mean ON SUNDAY.
And by ON SUNDAY I mean SOMETIME SUNDAY EVENING OKAY.
Regardless, we shall be tasking shortly.
Also congrats to everyone for bringing us up to the status we're at, especially congrats to all of the new members for being AWESOME and rocking the praxis. I'm certain the praxis light was shining bright for all of you.
The photographing of Palm Terrace is clearly short of being Task-worthy, but I think you may have stumbled upon something worth Tasking for. If only we could get in there and use those place-settings that have been set out for us for so long...
EDIT: That's funny that Palm Terrace doesn't show up on google searches. It must have been closed for quite some time.
I wrote a Palm Terrace inspired task... perhaps it will be approved:
Ghost Light
I will be in DC, so I can't go. :( However, this looks AWESOME!

Please tell us all about it if you go!
we are now the highest scoring team! http://sf0.org/teams/?order=score
This is a truly momentous occasion...
Did anyone else experience our 5.2 earthquake at 4:30 this morning? I know it's not a big deal compared to California's, but the strongest recent quake recorded in the Midwest was a 5.4, so today's was pretty significant for us.
Earthquake? Perhaps the Sutro Tower has arrived in Chicagø!
Print this warrant and take to the streets, Agents - we must arrest Zemaluco before the weekend is through!
Hey all, this is matt (guy who won the race to the end of the night) Just wanted to stop in and say hi. Im still new to sf0 so ill try and learn the site soon :)
Thanks to Dax, zer0gee, and the others who put on the event. Thepuppies would like to get their due street cred for being the first finishers who got all 6 signatures (with two bonus stamps...good work on the second stamp, we got to fight off many street rats for that one). Congrats to the winner Matt. It was nice meeting you all.
Good people of CG0,
Thank you all once again for a truly kickass Journey to the End of the Night. And thank you especially for having some of us in your homes for sleep, food, companionship, and so forth. When Journey Minneapolis happens, you are all of course encouraged to come see how we do at it. And when you do, we wish you better luck holding onto your flags.
Appreciatively yours,
- Doktor Harmon
thank you for posting the trellis tea party pic! i had a wicked fun evening...
Check out this CG0 event on the SF0 events list! Hope to see you there!
Hello.
I was wondering if CG0 has a Flickr? Or if there is a CG0 group on Flickr that we could all join our accounts to. (assuming anyone else has one). I think it would be really neat to do so I'd like to make one unless one already exists.
Thoughts?
kristin
Go ahead and set up a flickr account! We'll see what happens.
Location: http://www.flickr.com/groups/cg0
It's set on invite only but that can be changed.
Now ... who has flickr?
No response or activity
:(
Team HQ pictures are now posted on the flickr.
Bulletin:
Team LAØ is growing is size and score. I predict that they will overtake MNØ in a matter of weeks. Everyone keep an eye on SoCal, we may have an up-and-coming adversary.
i can now report, based on the activities of last night, that the rolled-up CG0 flag makes an excellent tool for delivering birthday spankings.
Only one more week to send a pink love letter, delivered by bicycle, anywhere in Chicago.
Alright Chicagø. Welcome to Everyday Life. We've got some points to make up.
Just thought i would post this found it kinda funny
Does anyone know what's up with the voting point things? How does the whole thing work? I don't like it really, cause you can't vote for for everything you want and you have to hoard your voting points 'just in case'. I feel people will be less likely to vote for something that they think is cool just because of that 'just in case'. Blah.
The LEADER position for this team is up for grabs. Get tasking, ladies and gents; it will go to the Chicagøan with the highest score as of December 6th, 2008.
It has been a wonderful honor to be the founder, and therefore default LEADER, of the finest regional team on SFØ. You have made this a life changing year for, and I will carry these experiences with me wherever I end up. I hope I have helped, in whatever small way, to craft a fine experience for all of you.
Congratulations, zer0gee: the newly designated LEADER of CGØ. While I am handing the crown over to her today, she has been performing this role since she first opened an SFØ account, officially or unofficially. As CGØ continues to flourish, I anticipate fantastic and magical adventures ahead.
Yours,
Dax
Chicagovians:
I wish to visit your fair city for JTTEOTN. But I will need a place to sleep.
Anybody got a couch that's available?
Hey everyone, I am willing to bring my 1st place trophy from 2008 out and offer it to the winner of 2010. I may run again to try and defend the trophy haha.
Chicago needs a revival. Let's do this.
this group is ded0rz. i've emailed like 8 people about participating in my hidden treasure task and hear back from no one. boo! who, of which on here i do not know in the Chicago group, would like to find some buried treasure? =\
hey fellow cg0ers, I'll seek some advises at RAJEN. but PM me if you read this so we can talk most secretly.
also consider me for any team tasking during the month of September.
FREEDOM FOR THE DANDELIONs
Yay us! I need to get working on some projects, don't I? Whee!
