[click for printable poster]

The city spreads out before you. Rushing from point to point, lit by the slow strobe of fluorescent buses and dark streets. Stumbling into situations for a stranger's signature. Fleeing unknown pursuers, breathing hard, admiring the landscape and the multitude of worlds hidden in it.

For one night, drop your relations, your work and leisure activities, and all your usual motives for movement and action, and let yourself be drawn by the attractions of the chase and the encounters you find there.

A pursuit across Chicago in 6 parts. No skates, no bikes, no cars, just your two feet and the train. Bring some water, possibly a camera, and comfortable shoes - leave everything else at home.

JJason, if I manage to figure out my schedule such that I'm able to go, I'll give you a lift - provided some friendly CG0 type is willing to offer crash space.

And we really do need to make the MPLS version materialize at some point.

Haberley: It would strictly be the second JTTEOTN London, because the first one took place AAAAGES ago.

Unfortunately, I don't *actually* know what it is.

Journey-London took place not even a year ago. And hey, it's time it happened again!

Excellent work. We shall have you chase-able in no time.

Am I crazy, but wasn't there a cripple at Journey Glasnost? I ran into her outside of Coit Tower - she had a red ribbon on and I spooked. But she reassured me that she wasn't going to chase me, what with her crutches. I was, and am, thoroughly confused. But I'm still not ruling out the viability of a slow-moving runner... I would really like to know how far she made it, if anyone else caught sight of her...

So I checked the weather forecast for Chicago and it said that from Thursday to Saturday, there will be a 40-50% chance of rain.

How will that affect the game? Rain gear?

(no subject)
posted by Dax Tran-Caffee on April 15th, 2008 1:02 PM

Current forecast for Saturday is overcast and rain during the day, yielding to cloud breaks and some passing afternoon sun. East/northeast winds 10-22 m.p.h. Daytime High: 58 Low: 43

The game will play in rain or shine. At this point, it looks like we'll be playing with dry skies and wet streets. Wear warm clothes, and pack a raincoat - you'll be outside for a long time.

I brought an earthquake with me from California!!! The night I get into Chicago, a 5.3 earthquake hits. The first earthquake of that magnitude in 40 years. Sometimes I feel like being a Californian jinxes the people around me. And I thought that I got away from the earthquakes. (I live in the Bay Area but I'm totally earthquake phobic. Probably not the best place to live..). At least I also brought the warm weather.
