Yesterday, after taking the state-issued assessment that every student in Texas must take to graduate, I learned that today would hold another assessment, this one optional. I, not being one to take state issued anything two days in a row, decided that, since the test was optional, I would say "no". I gathered around me my companions and we decided to remove ourselves from the iron fist of the state and hang out on a Thursday.
I started my day off by making what should have been a delicious breakfast of turkey bacon and eggs, a meal I can make in my sleep. Something went wrong today, though, and I ended up with six overcooked pieces of turkey bacon, one half egg, and what could only be called an egg-bomination.
I decided against easting the egg-pocalypse and instead settled for a more normal, home style meal; Ramen and tea.

Soon after breakfast Troy and Jeff showed up and we gathered around the T.V. to play Borderlands.
(Thanks Gearbox!) They stayed until around lunch and we ordered pizza and played a game of magic before they left for Jeff's house.
The clock read 11:50-ish after they left and I decided to finish reading a book in my comfy bed.
(bed not pictured)
Fortunately, I finished the book, unfortunately I also dozed off. I woke in a panic at 1:30, bothered by my grievous waste of daylight. Wasting no more time, I headed off to the country club's large, concrete area (see rooftop access; trespassing) to do a spot of parkour practice.
On the way to the country club I stumbled across a rather large patch of small purple flowers that I hadn't noticed before. I wasn't sure what they were, but I rather liked them. It's funny how the grass on the golf course is decaying rapidly, but these things are springing up.

I did my parkour thing and got home around 3pm. The school day now over I was free to to my homework from Wednesday and straighten up the house, like I would on any other school day. If every day at school were this fun, I'd never miss another day.
