I constantly seethe with rage at those that speed through stop signs in my neighborhood. As a bike rider I find people who are unpredictable in extremely heavy, fast vehicles to be a hazard. To show my appreciation to those that do stop in my neighborhood I traveled around with a large sharpie in one hand, masking tape in the other, and my laptop (camera) tucked into a backpack and left thank you signs on stop signs.
"But you didn't really make a thank you sign, Ty!" some may say. I like to think that I altered the signs into their current form, making them what they are today.

STOP, Thank you

Imagine me hefting my laptop over my shoulder and trying to catch sunlight in the pinhole camera while cars pass.

You should upgrade that to a larger "THANK YOU" made of the same white retroreflecting foil some time. :)

Also reminds me of http://sf0.org/deathbysteveo/Make-it-Soft/
And those signs are better for it.
