I'd like to know if anyone has luck using a GPS for this task. I think if you use Google Earth and a GPS it would be very possible to sketch out a way to do some crop circles or something, but I haven't tried it yet.

ok I am new to this site so maybe this makes sense to everyone but me.. but can you explain how you are supposed to avoid knowing about a specific item in an abstraction such as "news" without actually knowing what it is? It seems impossible. I lived in a forest in central africa while the ISS was launched back in 1999 so I had no idea it was orbiting the earth until I read about it in 2001, but I did not know that I specifically missed that piece of news.
