Get up, Take a shower, Eat Breakfast, Go to work by Yoda

INSTRUCTIONS: Do something that you've done more times than you can count, but do it a way that you've never heard of.

A quick wash!

I got up yesterday morning and looked out of the window. Snow had been forecast, but, living on the Isle of Wight (UK) I was not hopeful as it doesn't usually snow here. The scene I saw was magical. Everything had a liberal sprinkling of the white stuff! I was very excited.

I had been thinking about this task for a while, and thought I would have a nice bath...

In the sea!

What better day to do such a normal activity than when it was snowing? I chatted to a fellow task buddy (evilweavil) who also wanted to do some kind of fun, maybe task related activity, so we both agreed to be each others camara-people (let's be politically correct shall we? lol). So off we walked to the sea front (separately I might add, we live in different towns) and met up in the middle.

I had packed the normal bath related items, as I was fully intent on submerging beneath the waves for my 'bath'.

Some background of me is needed right now to emphasise how hilarious this task is for me. My friends will all admit that I always complain of being cold. I'm quite slim, and have a fast metabolism that turns all my food into heat. All very well if I kept any heat for myself, which I do not. So having a bath in the sea (even during summer) is a feat of genetic madness for me.

So, I had packed a scrubbing brush, some shower gel, a dresing gown, and a towel. For modesty I decided to wear speedos so no one would get offended (like anyone on this site would?) but anyways.

My friend watched and laughed as I got undressed on the shore. I shouted to some passers by what I was about to do (it was snowing, and they had hoods up so I doubt if they heard me properly, but they looked round quick) and got my dressing gown on. Then we walked to the sea (the tide was out a bit, so we had a little walk) ready for me to have my bath.

Camara was filming and off I scampered into the sea. Needless to say the water was freezing, but also faurly shallow, so I decided that I obviously wasn't dirty enough for a proper bath, a quick scrub with the brush was all what was needed.

After that, we went back to shore and I got dressed and walked away as if nothing extraordinary had happened.

Baths are, after all, a normal thing in life...LOL

I've given you a vote of 5 points for this because I have seen you go blue in the sea in the middle of summer. Very brave. Shame I missed it! Yay, go you!

If you hadn't been laughing so much, that would have just been painful to watch. Then again, even just the delightful high-pitched and childishly appreciative acceptance of the towel "TAU-hl" made it all feel good and zany, rather than torture.

I feel for you my svelte brother, and some day, Neptune will rue the day he skimped out on year-round heating for his kingdom. Some day.

I couldn't miss the opportunity to bath in the sea during the snow. Otherwise it might have been a different experience altogther, and you'd have been a witness Fee. LOL

Full points from me! You mad gimp! The sea is almost at its coldest this time of the year so I can forgive you for not totally submerging. I just wish I had been there to see it! The snow did arrive, even to the Wight and it caused major havoc on the mainland.
