sami: i love sushi. i love things that make other people squeamish, like masago (tiny fish eggs) and eel. but... quail eggs.. terrify me. do you know what a quail is?

We showed up to my favorite sushi place here, Domo Sushi, and sami, Marty, Timmy, Zayda, and I sat down at a quaint corner booth and ordered the Uzura. A plate of 4 small quail eggs showed up, lids cracked off with ponzu sauce (a Japanese vinegar sauce), masago and chives inside. Terrified faces all around. we grab them and with a quick toast we throw them back. Tasty! I'd love to have another! Anyone for sea urchin next?

sami: sea urchin, sure. but i'm never eating one of the nasty raw eggs again.
