Puns of the Navarone by Blue Tulip, Burn Unit

May 26th, 2009 3:03 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Create a real world version of a pun, word play, or bad joke.

She had a dream, and held it for 15 years, the whole time they have been in love. They nursed it together, this terrific word-play-to-be-made-real. Very recently, it all came together. Rather quickly, almost impulsively (compared to all the dreaming). The ingredients: antique metal frame, flower garden, concrete, a couple of buckets, holes, stakes, some rope, and a dream.

After several hours of work, we had it.

See the pictures for the whole story. . .

As an owner of bedstead trellises, I approve.

One point for the pun, and four more for the beauty.

It is definitely not so great a pun, but I took the "word play" portion of the task instructions to heart. While we were propping it up, I heard the words your character never misses a connection and knew I needed to act quickly for documentation.

Hats off to any effort of actual horticulture resulting in such a wonderful pun. +5

I just thought how pretty it will look in the winter too, a snow bed.
I spend all my allowance right now, but I'll be back.
