Wear Your Art As Your Sleeve by Poisøn Lake

September 6th, 2009 1:49 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: The University of Aesthematics has no bookstore with which to gouge you, and no signiture apparel with which to cover. But should you choose to make your membership known, we urge you to make/modify a shirt or other torso-covering garment that proclaims your allegiance. Don't forget to post the "plans" for your garment, as well as a depiction of the completed item.

I'll preface this by saying that though I have some university leanings, they will never have my Zeronian heart, so my completion is Biome-centric.

I had a T-shirt, iron on transfer paper & a plan.

I was only planning on printing one transfer, but I didn;t want it to be huge & once I got it to the size I wanted, I realized that wasting an entire sheet on one transfer would be pure silliness. So I printed nine. Unfortunately I forgot to reverse the image, so I wasted a whole sheet anyway (unless anyone wants nine readable-in-the-mirror biome logos ). I printed another nine, but they came out slightly larger & the resolution was not so wonderful, so I did one more sheet & after 18 imperfect transfers, found success!. I also did a sheet of SF0 logos, for added awesomeness & was off to the ironing board. After finishing the shirt I decided I wanted a more constant sign of my allegiance, so I stuck one on my purse too. The letters came out a bit wonky on that one, but sharpie saved the day.

Admittedly not the most remarkable completion, but someday when I learn to silkscreen, I'll amend this.

I want 9 readable in the mirror Biome logos. I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

you can have them if you'd like. I can't think of anything to do with them except iron them in places close to mirrors (Biome curtains maybe?)

All of yours seem to bear the brand of thoroughness and making it your own. This noob gives you respect.

why thank you, have a bear: +2

I'd like to see logos for Humanitarian Crisis and Cexxon, if you would be so inclined as to make them.

sure, but

I can supply the beer.

But you'll have to cross North America to get it.
