Bandegi

The Korean script says "bandegi" give or take. Korean has more complex & varied vowels than I'm used to transliterating. All you really need to know is that it stands for "silkworm chrysalis" or pupae.
Bird Feed

At first Flitworth was concerned that we had purchased something (legally) not meant for human consumption.
Bandegi Shots

When Bros Icing Bros becomes passe, I think we all know what the next self-abusive drink of choice will be.

Holy crapballs.
Funniest thing I've seen all week.
If not for software problems, I would have made a highlight reel consisting of spit-takes and Haiku saying "I told you we needed a bucket." :)
Oh man, you guys are ready for the Amazing Race or something now. That's insane. Good job.
i first learned about bondegi from a "Steve Don't Eat It" article, and i am completely AMAZED that i've seen it again!!! These bugs need to quit being sold as food.
WOO! What a GREAT thing to watch first thing on a monday morning! :D
did you arrange them in appealing hors d'ouevre after the fact? and if so were you tempted to try them that way? seriously i think pairing one with a little pickle might have made it easier to manage. no i'm not going to try it thank you just the same.
After the fact. I hate to let ersatz food go completely to waste so we tried to imagine what would make bandegi appear edible. If we'd had some whipped cream, I'd love to know if they look any better with a dollop on top.
That sounds like the kind of food you would want to bread and fry crispy.. if only to hide the appearance.
Five points for awesome, and bonus for the cocktail. I admit I'm a little nauseated just sitting here at work looking at it, but it is a fantastic thing in theory, and you have made it exist.
How crunchiness level are we talking about here? None?
I'd probably roast them...
I'd give 'em a 2. They're pretty squishy. Impaling them was a disturbing tactile experience.
I think that makes this worth 5 points, at least.
This is on par with what I'd have to do to complete this task. Kudos to you for not only finding such a frightening food, but going through with completion. Bonus points for the hors d'oeuvres, if I could.
even SOJU can't help you now!!
typically i'm not disgusted by the idea of eating bugs... but even solely from those photos i have determined that is something i would never, ever by free will consume....
....except for points ;)
Horrible, horrible, horrible, horrible, adorable, no, no, wait, horrible.
Way to go!
Bitch you are CRAZY!!!
Good job
