In the Museum of Visual Arts in Montevideo Uruguay no photography is permitted. I figured as much, despite not having seen the sign on the way in. After a few shots the guard came up. Mumbled something to me quietly (as though not to disturb the other museum goers. I was the only museum goer.) I understood something about not taking photos in the museum, and then he pointed to where the sign was.

I promptly made my way over to the sign.

And took a photo of it.

I smiled at waved goodbye. He didn't look mad. Just very very confused.
