Mundane Journey by JTony Loves Brains

INSTRUCTIONS: Go on a Mundane Journey

Document your findings.

Please note that using the hotline outside of San Francisco is not only acceptable, but, indeed, encouraged by the BART Psychogeographical Association.

I called the hotline yesterday and was pleased to hear that the address I was being lead to was 1762 39th Avenue, just 17 blocks from my house. Perfect for a little trip.

I decided that the best way for me to really observe what I saw there was to draw. So, I sat on the curb and drew, and pulled out some paint to add some color.

The Mundane Journeys hotline mentions how she likes to look into the sky and see a balloon that got caught, and wonder if they got caught for a reason, and how these balloons, with a similar color palette to the flowerpots just below, found a perfect resting spot.

The balloons were a bit deflated by the time I arrived, and the flowerpots are a bit of a mess in my painting, but both can be seen in the upper right in the image.

I spent approximately 2 hours sitting on the curb across the street from the house. No one asked me anything while I was there. You can see the house on street view here.

Were there no people passing by, or just none of them asked you anything?
I know there are these specialty portrait places that specialize in doing artistic renderings of houses. People like to get them for special stationery or whatever. Maybe people thought you were a house artist!

A neat take on this task, JTony.
