My car was broken into for the second time this week. It totally sucked, but provided me with the material for this project. I swept up some of the broken glass and transported it to an appropriate location. Then I did battle with wind and distraction to create what is meant to be a little cityscape out of the glass pieces. I'm pretty sure I still have little fragments embedded in my fingertips. It sort of wound up looking like little ruins or something, but that's okay. It's also probably been blown away or knocked over, something that happened to me many a time during construction.
While I was constructing the cityscape, a man walked by and asked me if this was art. I responded yes, that I was making a cityscape out of broken glass from a car. Then I knocked over a couple towers while I was talking to him. He incredulously commented that I wasn't using glue, and I said that was okay because I wanted it to be really impermanent anyway. At this point I think he may have thought I was a little nuts or something. He moved on. Then, he returned 20 mins. later and seemed surprised to discover that I had made progress. He said, "You must go to that ART SCHOOL or something," and I said no, this is for a game online in which you get points for doing little art projects, it's just something I enjoy doing. (I kicked myself later for this, because I obviously should have answered, "YES. I GO TO THE UNIVERSITY OF AESTHEMATICS." God dammit.) He wished me luck and kept walking.

My car also got vandalized twice since moving into the city. Thank you for turning it into something beautiful.

That is quite some dedication right there. It appears to be tiny as well.

And after you left one cockroach ran behind the battlement and yelled to his be-winged buddy, "I fart in your general direcione!!", whereby they both timbalated like naughty schoolkids. Your artwork was beautiful.
Holy hardcore, batman!
