On December 22nd 2007 there was a bon fire as a tribute to the greatness that once was door hendge. I was fortunate enough to attend said bon fire. The only problem with this was that I live in Stockton and that this bon fire was held in San Fransico. Now normally I don't mind this drive but I had to be at work at 4am the morning following the bon fire. That means my bon fire time would have to be dramatically cut Unfortunately for myself, Asian Persuasion and I did not arrive home to Stockton until 1 in the morning and I had to be awake at 3:30. Luckily I work for Starbucks, so being tired is always avoidible (and can be very fun too!) Upon entering the store with my manager Ted I informed him that we were going to have a competition of epic proportions....he just looked confused, so I took the liberty of explaining myself. He and I were going to have a shoot out. Of espresso of course! I also have to tell you that work can be a little slow once my Starbucks offically opens, so Ted and I are always finding ways of entertaining ourselves, so telling him that I had a game or competition lined up for us really wasn't anything new.

As soon as we were ready to open the store I informed him of the one and only rule.
1. Whoever drank the most amount of espresso in the least amount of time, wins.
(bonus points would be awarded to whoever used the least amount of flavoring/ milk to sweeten their espresso)

We enlited the help of our next incoming worker to help keep us honest, as this competion would last until I was off work which wasn't for 4 more hours. (Plus, neither of us wanted to be sick at work!)

And so our compition to the death began....

Hah! You must have been bouncing off the walls! I bet that screwed you up for a day or two... the combination of no sleep and way too much caffeine...

There's something compelling about seeing those cups lines up in a row.
