FIGURE 1.A

FIGURE 1.A

The clock (seen near center) along with surrounding tools acquired for the its destruction

FIGURE 1.B

FIGURE 1.B

Close up of offending clock, its consistent display of the incorrect time coupled with the constant chattering, not ticking (or even a tic-tock) made it the perfect candidate for our joint experiment to stop time.

FIGURE 1.C

FIGURE 1.C

Rear of clock displaying manufactures tag. Item was found in the as-is section of local ikea. At time picture was taken, exposure to the clock's audible chatter was beginning to effect my sanity. Disassembling had to begin immediately

FIGURE 2.A

FIGURE 2.A

With the battery removed the motor and incessant noise both stopped. With a now steady hand and rear cover removed, I proceed.

FIGURE 2.B

FIGURE 2.B

Rear assembly removed from clock housing. Making progress.

FIGURE 2.C

FIGURE 2.C

(Left to Right) Clock housing, Plastic face with clock hands on top (top to bottom: alarm, minuet, hour, second) clock face attached to plastic backing.

FIGURE 3.A

FIGURE 3.A

Clock Mechanism. All previous pieces shown have been merely cosmetic or for personal understand of the measurement of time. But inside this final element, thats where one will find time as we know it.

FIGURE 3.B

FIGURE 3.B

When the back cover was removed, Six (6) plastic components shifted immediately (possible due to the sudden release of previously contained Chronotons) and were removed. Shown in the lower left of the assembly is a tube made of copper wire (Possible time control unit)

FIGURE 3.C

FIGURE 3.C

Internal gears removed while in constant exposure to the unknown wire tube. Unknown what prolonged exposure will do to surrounding personnel.

FIGURE 4.A

FIGURE 4.A

Core component of the internal mechanism. Copper assembly shown on left connected to circuit control (not shown: removed metal connectors ran from battery housing to control) connected to plastic cylinder. Camera equipment beginning to become affected by prolonged exposure to Chronotons. All unnecessary personal removed from area. Close to isolating the "Time"

FIGURE 4.B

FIGURE 4.B

Motor skills diminished, thought process affected, fear of unstable amount of time being released into room. Unable to study connected components any further. Picture taken moments before severing of "Copper Tube" from circuitry in event camera survives. All surrounding personnel prepare for unforeseen consequences.

FIGURE 4.C

FIGURE 4.C

All components severed and analyzed. Cooper Tube does in fact appear to be containment area for "Time" with a slow release used to spin the hands on the face at preset values assigned by the plastic gears. Circuit board is the control unit and serves as a link between the three componants and also power source (battery). Plastic cylinder's purpose still unknown; possible Chronoton gathering "antenna" of sorts. All personal returned to area. Situation Normal, No Longstanding Adverse Affects Reported. Main disassembler reported tasting pennies in his mouth. Probally nothing.

FIGURE 3.14159

Project complete. Timepiece Officially Broken. All pieces returned to original shell and added to mantle place for posterity. Preparing to submit Praxis

Are you mad, Fitzgerald? You could be releasing unstable tachyons into your vicinity.

A true chrononaut.
