A friend and I left chalk arrows over a 2 mile stretch promising treasure at the end. It led to the beach, where we, being otherwise treasureless, buried the remaining chalk. Of course, the journey was the real reward - we made sure to include amusing messages as often as possible. Around halfway through, police pulled over - and asked if we were doing graffiti. We showed them the chalk, and one of the officers laughed.
Unfortunately, I don't think anyone followed our trail. On the way back, we took the trail backwards, and nobody was following it.
Our route.
The majority of the documentation here is in the form of photos. I selected some of the best out of the over 100 taken (we took one of every arrow!) This means, of course, that many merely good arrows are not in here... Nonetheless, enjoy!

'twas the remaining chalk. As noted in the description, we didn't have much else on us.

OK. Fair enough. I like the time and work that went into this. I'd just rather there be some treasure that was unique or especially cool at the end of 1.8 miles of walking (and jumping fences).

Isn't this more "Exquisite Derive"?

It wasn't quite a derive because we had a route in mind from the start.
What was the buried treasure?
