INSTRUCTIONS: Shrink something.

**This is a direct response to the shrinking and theft of Sutro Tower recently perpetrated by the dastardly Villain**

Mr. Villain you have gone too far sir! Your actions are an affront to my beloved city and thus they are an affront to me.

In reaction to your wicked and unrepentant thievery I have devised a plan of my own! I overlooked it the first time* that you stole Sutro Tower, but twice! Inexcusable! You have gone on with this behavior for way too long!! Is there no end to your unending Villainy?!?

He & his treachery must be stopped, slowed, minimized or miniaturized. Our brave Hero Bex is preparing herself for the final battle to finish him off once and for all (we hope), but until then I shall do my part to slow him down. I can abide no more landmark stealing!

Since I have, as of yet, been un-able to capture him in a designated player killing zone, this will have to suffice. (for now)

Do you feel YOUR impending doom Villainous one?

You may have defeated me this time, YellowBear...

But now you wear the mask. You laugh maniacally at the misery of another. You have become The Villain!

your true inner-goodness may not yet be completely extinguished.

I don't know what you're talking about.

I can hardly wait for the Villans' response to this one!

So..

I'm sorry, but The Villain is kind of right. Since YOU are the one wearing the mask now, couldn't you at least change the color of the bandanna to be more original... ? Red would complement you very well. Or even white. But maybe that's not what you're going for... Oh well.

Mr. Villain & Ms. Vixen: you are of course both correct. This is not an accident. But i do not dilute myself with the idea that rising to fight evil makes me good.

This is more of a commentary on the fact that even fighting what we consider to be just fights, against evil adversaries, can lead us towards evil ourselves rather than good. When I first saw the Villain enter our midst I was afraid. Then after his repeated thefts I became angry. As Yoda so correctly pointed out "Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.” That is the path that leads into darkness. This is the path that has consumed me, and has caused me to induce suffering in another.

No person who willingly or intentionally inflicts suffering can be considered good, even if those suffering are evil. For this reason I quite intentionally chose black, and have re-named myself. Though my cause was just (in my opinion) it has taken a hold of me and spiraled beyond my control. My soul has been blackened by my actions and I must accept the consequences of the path I have chose to walk. Indeed once the path of evil has been begun to take control it takes on a life of its own.

But to those who are saddened by my conversion to evil, be not concerned. I know that such serious actions cannot be easily undone, but plans are already underway for an overly elaborate purification ritual, to hopefully cleanse my soul of the horrible scaring and damage that I have induced in myself from giving in to my more vengeful emotions. I shall not be tormented forever.

It is my hope that one day (perhaps on returning to SF) even the Villain himself will be able to break free of this parasitic evil that has taken control of our old friend the once noble Dax. I will do all in my power to help him, for now I understand more clearly than ever how evilness can take control of good people, and turn them into hapless busted puppets. I will be reborn into goodness, you shall bear witness...

Oh please. +1

I shall do my best to continue your efforts to avenge the shrinking and stealing of our Sacred Sutro!

OK Mr. Yellowbear - something to admit...

I just noticed how close you were to level 8 and I decided, if there was one player that deserved to be at that spot, it was you. Your completions are fucking legendary.

Soooooooo...I decided to look over your completions and vote for my favorite 4. To push you over. I ended up finding some great ones that I just never saw before. So here you go. Level 8.

Vote!

Single-handedly bringing down a reset upon us.

Not that those votes (and many more) aren't entirely deserved. Congratulations on the ultimate level up, YellowBear.

Let us take a moment and offer thanks to St. YellowBear. He sacrificed himself that he might fight the evil which torments us, was purified, and has returned on this our day of reckoning to lead us into the uncertain future.

Reset!

(Congrats again to YellowBear! Hurray!)

I didn't realize that there was actually a somewhat specific, known way the reset worked; now, after looking here, I realize that I will not make it to the front page before the reset. Nor, I suppose, even quite to level 6 (depending on how the timing goes). Sad. Oh, well. Next time, I guess. My first reset...anyone know what happens to tasks we were working on (especially if they're retired/too high level for us/a different group)?

Also, shouldn't we have already reset (6 months after the last one having passed at the beginning of this month)? I'm confused.

congratulations. but uh, I think...

...the reset is not quite that automated.

Actually, the reset happened in a manner of speaking, as scheduled on October 1 (which came before player #5 hit level 8), when the glasnost scores stopped moving upward. this was strictly temporary, however, as you might have noticed. I saw it anyway. Surely some others might have caught it? inverse cool memory, perhaps?

but fear not players, I believe there is ample time for our drives to be further sated, if only until New Un named Era. I for one intend to make level 8, you can count on that.

Spidere, if you want that brass ring, I suggest y'get taskin'!
