Reduction to the Body by Magpie
January 14th, 2008 11:29 PM
As a woman, having our bodies measured and critiqued by society, the glance of others, and our selves is unfortunately part of our psyche. I think that it was in the 1950's that the perfect dimensions of a woman's body became 36-24-36. I have been measured for bras on occasion and of course by doctors, but I thought that I would really get to know my body well by measuring it in all its parts. So what I found out is that I apparently do not have the "perfect body" because my measurements are 32-27-32. However, I am surprisingly symmetrical, my finger prints are even mirror images of each finger, which apparently makes me more likely to get laid according to some report or another, hurrah! Hope you can all cope with the centimeters.

That's a painting of me in the background. I think that my thighs have gotten smaller since I painted it. Oh and one thigh is bigger than the other.
