The icon posted was created by Lindsay Archer, an artist I had the fortune to collaborate with online and then meet in real life. It's also been edited (shape and size) as an icon by Troy Daniels, a writer and graphic designer who is also primarily an online contact. The virtual world and network that went into creating this work (based on a photograph of me and my own appearance) shows the lengths to which the virtual can reflect reality, and vice versa.
