		Sound Portrait by Bear Farmer
August 4th, 2010 11:46 PM

For this task, I used a program called RGB MusicLab. I had heard of it awhile back but never messed with it, and it turns out that it is a pretty nifty application. You feed it a picture, which it pixelates and creates a mosaic out of. It then reads each pixel and from the RGB color values outputs notes, creating a sound composition from the photo mosaic. There are a lot of settings to play with, and I tried to use those settings to make this piece sound more like "me". This is the "Ballad of the Bear Farmer".

Settings
I used my player picture and set the pixels to 22, my age. I picked the instruments using my birthday, 10/17/87, and the tempo is my weight in kilos.
Settings for Second Instruments
For second instruments, I used Bear Farmer's birthday, the day I signed up for sf0, 7/30/10. This rounded out my previously picked settings to create the final piece.

Sounds like it could be a final boss battle for Luigi's Mansion 2.
