Fortune Not Cookie by bgfinewmn

INSTRUCTIONS: Install fortunes of your devising in permanent or non-permanent media in openable structures, such that passersby will come across them.

This task was a progression for me. I started to plan it and even exicuted part of it... then in retrospect I realized it didnt do what I created it to do. SO I started again and I am so excited for the lucky human to find my strategically placed fortune. All the books I used are on different topics, though they all have something in common as well.
This idea has inspired me to create a library treasure hunt for my future students so that they can learn how to use the library catergorization crapola.
Libraries are a mysterious and magical place that are becoming increasingly under-utilized. I find it exilerating to be in the same building with so many people that care about learning or maybe just reading.
blah blah blah ... me me me

So I originally started out with this puzzle and once I had created what I thought I wanted, a fellow tasker asks: whats the fortune? I had totally gotten off track from my ultimate goal, so in search of inspiration I went back to the dolla store and looks at the puzzles - and there it was, the perfect puzzle...

The Care Bear road trip puzzle inspired a fortune for the need of a road trip with their homies. I taped some of the pieces together so there would only be 12 pieces...

I haven't done a task in a whole because I am a student ang time is precious.. my precious... so I planned a cyclical treasure hunt right there in the fun house I spend a lot of time in...

It was harder than I thought to pull this off. I knew that I wanted it to be a spontaneuous find. Since the clues written on the pieces would lead in a circle, it didnt matter what order they find them in. I wanted there to be a wide variety of kinds of books that would be likely for people to pick up and find the clue.

I had to take a lot of notes just to keep it straight in my head, since its full of knowledge, there is no more room, except for pudding- after I eat my meat of course! "How can you have any pudding if you don't eat your meat?!"

I would love to find puzzle pieces in a book, and the cyclic part is not something I've thought of before. How do you know your friends will be one of the first to check out one of the... oh, I see what you did there.

This is legitimately left to strangers who are reading, from any subject, into your theme? That is even cooler! What was the theme?
