Jesika is hitch-hiking across the country this Summer, and has come for a brief stay in Chicago... she is her own Army of One as it were - but this morning, she can relax and take the back seat.

4:00 - document Jesika (sleeping)


4:01 - begin making pancakes


4:11 - Verdantify, you little cups of water! Verdantify!


4:12 - be spy roommate dishes in the sink


4:22 - Jesika emerges (asks: what does "verdantify" mean?)

4:24 - discover overflowing garbage can


4:25 - garbage removed & liner replaced


4:30 - dishes done!

4:40 - take a shit

4:44 - flip a pancake


4:52 - garbage taken out to the alley

4:54 - pump up trailer tires

4:57 - out the door!


5:00 - hook up trailer / convince Jesika to get in



5:12 - black cat crosses path, dooming the cameras to short battery life



5:26 - sunrise! (not yet arrived at destination - Buckingham Fountain)

6:30 - photo opportunity @ Belmont Army Surplus (not yet open for patronage by the Army of One!)


6:35 - arrive: Filter Cafe (closed - camera 2 dies)

6:42 - photographed under painted admonition: "The Only Thing You Can Get in a Hurry is Trouble"

6:43 - arrive: Half & Half Cafe for cappuccinos and bagel



7:30 - leave Half & Half


7:40 - telephone Torreyanna to learn whereabouts of yellow Schwinn

7:42 - Torreyanna can't remember, requesting to personally retrace her steps to where the Yellow Schwinn was left

MISSON OBJECTIVE 'C' Recover Yellow Schwinn: FAILURE!

7:55 - Jesika dropped off @ Damen & Augusta, awaiting rendevous with Torreyanna (Dax heads home)


7:56 - run over squirrel corpse

8:05 - realization that I forgot to give Jesika the key to unlock yellow Schwinn

8:06 - serendipitously spot Torreyanna on Ogden Ave; key passed off


8:26 - arrive home

8:30 - begin charging camera battery

8:37 - begin downloading photos from camera

8:40 - making sandwich for class

8:52 - begin posting proof

9AM - TASK OVER
