Silent Donation by Rin Brooker

January 10th, 2009 2:11 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Endow a stranger with a gift (e.g. Flowers or candies) without being seen, heard, or suspected.

Preferably someone who looks like they're having a bad day.

For your listening pleasure as you read! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On this task I learned a valuable lesson about playing sf0. Watch who you collaberate with. There were supposed to be three of us here but it appears my enthusiasm was unmatched. Even so, this was my favorite task so far. My donation was to a guy I've been stalking for a month or two.

It all started here at randomalaskanteens.com. Actually, it started when a friend told me about making randomalaskanteens.com. It's an entertaining (check them out) podcast website that he and some other guys from my rival high school made and were publisizing. I listened to their first podcast and one of the boys, Pyrofox, gave out enough personal information that I could easily track him down. When I had his last name, which was right on his chest in a picture I found, I looked it up in the public archives and found his home address. I stalked him because I thought it would be a very funny way to make a friend. I've just been passing him letters through a mutual friend so far. He actually seems like a really nice guy and doesn't mind my stalking him. Unfortunatly I lost contact over the holidays and decided to give him a present, mostly to prove I actually know where he lives.

See? Creepy! He calls me "stalker girl" in two of the podcasts.

the cow

the cow

So, I went present shopping. First thing I liked was a stuffed cow that was ingeinusly made to look pleasing. Since I don't have some pics... have pretty good drawing of it.

super ballon!

super ballon!

The cow did not seem like enough on its own, a wandering child could have left it there at his house. So, I desided a ballon would be just the right compliment to it. It didn't take long to see clearly which ballon was the very best!

I was very happy. My two fellow players (that would have been collaberators if they had actually done anything) liked the idea too, took pictures and agreed we'd split the cost. I was looking forward to it. Little did I know that I'd be donating on my own.

The Stalker Note

The Stalker Note

After almost a week of saying, "Ok kids, lets go today!" I worried that the ballon would lose it's helium and I'd be left in failure. So, I struck out on my own to present my present. I had to sign it Secret Admirer instead of Stalker Girl in case his mum found it before he got home.

He lives on a huge icey hill. It was like aproaching a fortress of doom on a mountain to get up to his house. Once I was there I placed the gift in blitzkreig fasion and ran for it. Special thanks to my benevolent mother for taking this picture for me.

Loove the stuffed toy picture. We stuffed toys get so few portraits of us made that, that is why I give you cookies!
