As always, there are far more tales in the pictures below.

On a day of no specific importance the C.L.O.W.N.S. decided to hunt for lost treasure. We once had a whole forest to ourselves; a magical land known only to those few who had been there and experienced the truly magical nature of this place. Sadly, it was in a closed down housing development that used to be adjacent to our school., but was now only near a police station. We needed a new home.

We set out on our venture, traveling to well known locals near my current nesting grounds. AT first we thought of setting up in a small forest near my house, but that was soon vetoed as we realized that what at first seemed to be a small copse of trees was actually the scary forest of death!

If not for our bear friend and anime-inspired guide we would have surely been lost in the coming storm.

We passed the forest and our destination came into view, the abandoned pool house. We made our way into the fenced area only to discover the gate was unattached! Look! A gate! Our first treasure!

We made our way in and had a look around the offices, only to find them long deserted (years, not months, as the paperwork proved). Within the offices we made off with (pillaged) our second pile of treasure (booty?); a first aid kit, some dry rubber cement, and a long-dead router.

We also found these truly awesome gloves.

We left the dark, smelly pools in search of a place more open and welcoming. We traveled far, only to find a deep, black lake! Luckily, we all walked around. Crisis averted.

After our difficult encounter with the lake and it's (imaginary) monster inhabitants we found a place long known to me, the yard. There we ran back to the pool, found a bit of paint, and livened the place up a bit!

In our new painted playhouse we found something far more valuable than expired first aid materials and pieces of mortar, we found a new home. Since the last time we visited our long-lost forest home we felt at peace. The C.L.O.W.N.S. were home. Satisfied with a long day of housekeeping we headed back to my den, but not without stopping at a secret stash first.

We circled the spooooky lake and found a tennis court with full supplies of water. We filled four cups (three for us, one for our non-present clown) and drank deeply from the cup of success. SUCCESS!

Oh dear. My face looked dreadful. You should have told me my mouth was hanging open before you took the picture.
