Street Junk Sculpture by Dr. Subtle

January 10th, 2008 8:46 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Create a sculpture by arranging things you find on the street.

This little creature is made out of rail road ties, a property line marker, a weird piece of an abandoned computer case, various ethernet and telephone cables, steel wire, and an old broken iPod shuffle.

He's cosubmitted as Technotaxidermy

He's shot in an old fridge inherited from a sidewalk sale, and the ramp is the top of a toolbox.

I was puzzled about what a property line marker was, but now I see that is certainly junk you find on the street ;)
And those are at least 4 sculptures, too bad I can only vote once.

That would make a wicked Svankmajer-esque animation.

Susy- added another photo. It was literally a property line marker, set into the sidewalk near some building.

The SFO plaque on the wall is a nice touch too.
