Create Art "Under the Influence" by Edwin Farnham Butler III

September 27th, 2009 5:43 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Make any form of art under the influence of your choice!
Though being "high on life" is not acceptable, feel free to be creative. Provide photos (or whatever media is appropriate) of your artwork, and photos of you drinking/smoking etc.
If you collaborate, please, no peer pressure.

It was a quiet night, and I was bored. Dangerous ideas enter my mind when I am bored. For example, I notice that I have in my possession two different types of bottled liquids.

What, you ask, could you possibly do with beer and paint? It wasn't until I had consumed the former that I realized how painfully obvious the answer to this question is: When you have both beer and paint, you face-paint. And by face-paint, I mean that you paint a painting WITH YOUR FACE.

If you don't understand this concept, have a few beers and then you will. Anyway, I quickly gathered some supplies and set right to work. I decided to paint a self portrait, because it would befit my choice to face-paint.

Behold, the finished portrait! Looks just like me.

Many wonderful things happen when creativity and bottled liquids mix. Your face painting is strangely compelling!

He's clearly holding the evidence there in that last photo.

One of my housemates was taking a video of this, but when I finished the painting I chased her around the house trying to touch her with my face. I haven't been able to get the video from her.

officially, everyone, i apologize.
