Secret Wall Tattoos by Borgasm, Rin Brooker

September 12th, 2009 1:53 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Be inspired by this website to make some hidden art in a place that is not your own.

To clarify, secretwalltatoos.com displays works of art (paintings and drawings) that lie hidden behind objects such as mirrors, photographs, and paintings. Hiding such art - on the wall, and not in your home or place or business - is your goal

Rin: Borg and I set out tonight to complete a secret mission in art. I think we had a pretty good success.
Our medium of choice was chalk pastels and a workable fixative. Our canvas was the bottom of a couple picnic tables.

Borg: Our original idea was to decorate the bottoms of trash cans, then as we were walking along we thought of benches. As we searched for a bench that wasn't right along the road (there were quite a few people out and we didn't want to be caught) we saw a bunch of picnic tables outside the food court building. We decided to do a sky theme on one and an underwater theme on the other. We only sprayed the fixative on the best parts of the drawing because afer starting we realized that we were spraying what looked like spray paint onto school property right across from the police station. Oops. Rin was a bit more paranoid -sorry, cautious- than I was about being seen, and at one point some people pointed at us and we crouched down and hid. It was hard to take pictures with Rin's camera because it was dark out and the flash wasn't cooperating. Overall I think this was a job well done.

I had to leave it uncolored because we heard people coming close by and had to skedaddle.

This was the underwater themed table, complete with bubbles, seaweed, a mermaid holding an sf0 sign and fish.
