INSTRUCTIONS: Buy something used at a store. Track down the item's previous owner and ask him or her about the item.

Everything does come to he who waits. After YEARS of searching/waiting, I finally got a record that I had wanted really bad (Steve Hurley rmx of Jomanda). I found it at In-House Records on Mission an 6th accross from Lit bar. So later, I ask them who the previous owner was. I realize that sounds like an impossible question, but its usually a somewhat small community that goes to a DJ record store that has only one genre and one medium (not many cds there). As it turns out, their used section that I like best (and as luck would have it the section I got the record from) consists of records belonging to other DJs that are sold for commission by the store. I then told them the records had KK written on the price tag. The former owner is Kevin Koga. and he works at Amoeba. I went to Amoeba a couple times before I ran into him. It turns out that like many working artists he was having some money troubles and was getting rid of some of his valuable records. He didn't remember where he bought it.
