So my brother Dan told me to do this task a long time ago, but I said why would I want to make a cake for no reason? But now there is a reason for it is my friends birthday and I do so love to make cakes on friends birthdays, so why not kill two birds with one stone. So my friend will get his cake tomorrow and you will see the cake today. plus I got to eat all the left over batter and all the left over cake, since you have to cut it off the mold to make it even. So here is my finished task and soon, I will get to eat the cake with my friend. Happy tasking.

This is the cake I am attempting to make.

Julia Childs cook book

The cook book was written by Julia Childs. She is a maniac for detail and precision. I am not, so do not expect the same results. This is her vanilla pound cake and it tastes great.

The eggs

This is three eggs at room temperature. You know Julia must be correct.

The batter

This is the pound cake batter. It tastes great.

The vanilla was the last ingredient

Julia says just mix it in.

Divided Batter

Divide the batter into two baseball cake molds. You should make sure it will not rise above the rack above the batter or maybe just take the top rack out of the oven before you start. Otherwise you will be cleaning up a big mess on the top rack.
