Potted Plant Distribution by Majyk, Charli Morrish, Marv
March 5th, 2009 12:28 PMFor this lovely little task i had two newcomers to SF0 joining me and it was my honour and pleasure to take them out on there first task. So to charli and marv who were my accomplice's on our night of nefarious exploits i hope the both of you enjoyed it and may i be the first to say, Welcome to the game!

Approximately 1am and our mighty quest of plant distribution begins we've all drunk to much beer and listened to to much rock and so everything becomes a distraction hence why im stood on some sort of grate thing over a poor excuse for a stream

then marv decided to join me we nearly lost our balance a few times but luckily managed to remain dry!

having purchased 1 potted plant and one small potted tree marv decided to liberate a daffodil one of many which were stuck behind a wall of to one side of the road (id like to point out this wasn't someone's garden)

like i said 1 small potted tree placed in a car sales fore-court these places are far to clean filled with rubber metal and concrete. I always found it ironic that where cars are bought are always very tidy yet cars create so much filth dirt e.g. apart from pollution the amount of rubbish which is just thrown out the window!!

charli proudly displays her potted plant in a very rock fasion in the local sainsbury's car park its quite a large car park but the picture doesn't show it to well.

Marv proudly displaying his plant in the central reservation of the duel carriageway, the only stretch of duel carriageway on the entire island it isnt even a mile long so its a poor excuse for a carriageway!

i will do im not very good at the whole praxis thing i miss rather alot of points i could add? but we'll go check our plants and see where theyve gone? and what do you mean on payer introduction? please elaborate. cheers
A bit of elaboration on what happened and highlighting of the main parts is all that's really necessary; the completion itself seems (from what I can tell here) to be pretty solid. For instance: the plants eventually ended up in two car parks and a carriageway, but this isn't immediately clear to the reader. The photos of leaving them at their destinations look, at first glance, to just be you holding the plants in those places, and the descriptions always talk of the person "display"ing the plant, rather than depositing or leaving it there. The neat rationale behind your own choice of drop point (the car sales lot, with its little cleanliness ironies) is similarly easy to lose in the shuffle.
Other than that, I was also a little curious about the two store-bought plants - where you got them, what kind of plant they are, etc. since we never really got to "meet" these two as we did the daffodil. It's just a little thing, but color me curious about it (and anyway, asking little questions like that when the writeup didn't mention them is part of the purpose of comments).
It's easy to be intimidated, but don't be! You are already doing very well - the story from when you captured your third potted plant from-the-wild is the kind of silly on-the-fly thinking that we thrive on around here. All that remains is to present it a little more clearly, and flesh out the barebones parts of your process a bit. :)
Votes for chaotic free-wheeling task completion, not the chaotic free-wheeling presentation :)
You only get a little vote from me because I worry about the health of the plants in their final destination. :(
A potted tree is pretty awesome. Where did you get it, and where did it end up? I think more votes would follow an update -- either go check up on where you left the plants, or give us a little more description (and maybe a new-player introduction?)
