Find Roof Access by Majyk

OK so i read this task and instantly thought about doing it 007 style, and this is just the sort of thing i like doing im very keen on scrambling up the side of buildings even though im scared of heights getting up is the easy part its getting down that i find hard! And living on the tiny Isle of Wight made it hard to find any good high buildings as we dont have ANY!
But another aspect of this task was raised by a fellow tasker that "find roof access" was rather vague and open to interpretation of : Access to a roof or on the other hand access from a roof so i found both!
So after a few nights on the rooftops of Newport (largest town on the island) with no success at finding the perfect target i remembered one building id spent a night on top of whilst rather drunk (never a good idea, in fact its really stupid!)
so i headed there on a last ditch attempt. I'd avoided this one initially because the area is covered in CCTV (CCTV is NOT my friend) after checking it out during the day to double check the position of all the cameras and my exits and entry's, i'd done this with all the prior roof tops as well during the day time hours

My target, 3 stories up

My Access point, across the roof's of three separate property's

My exit, down the back into the back streets
I assembled what gear I may have needed ,I'm a firm believer in planning for the unlikely, granted in the end i didnt need any of it but it fulfilled the 007 feel to climbing buildings and finding access in or to other parts and taking pictures for what ever purpose i deem useful and attempting to evade exposure or at worse capture, because when doing something like this my imagination does run away with me and i instantly become a secret agent of some description! in other words FAR TO MUCH FUN!
so returning one dark and quite night i slipped down the alley to my point of easy access and started climbing as quietly as possible feeling very paranoid that some sort of light might illuminate me at one point i was desperately clinging onto a ledge some 20ft of the ground holding perfectly still because i thought i heard someones voice below me.
having gained one type of access I got out my camera and started with the old pictures

This was the route up under the cover of darkness so typically the pictures arent amazing, the thing you cant see, and in retrospect i shoulda snapped a pic of it, but it was the ledge with the 20ft drop i was hanging from for a minute or so all because i herd a "sound" silly me! after deciding it was all clear and scrambling up my legs felt very similar to jelly!

My final climb up a convenient ladder to what would be a rather good view point during the day but at night i just stared for a time at all the street lights, for some reason all i could think of is that they looked like fireflys hung in the blackness. All rather poetic thinking i suppose?

And also just for fun I took some pictures looking down on some un-suspecting passers by and suddenly new how all those little men must feel when they sit at there monitors watching through all the cameras round town?

I really liked that you turned into a surveillance camera up there. It kinda reminded me of this.

With tasks like this, how long before SF0 is responsible for a death I wonder?

well most people would probably do this more safely maybe using a staircase? not me though!! a saying im quite fond of is "if your not living on the edge your taking up to much space" that pretty much sums me up!

Giggle. And that is why you have a bit missing of your finger! :-D Well tasked, my friend, the urban ninja.
ok people i would have more on this completion but either my computer or my net is being rubbish! so a quick explanation for why there a picture of a fan and bars, they're there for my finding access from a roof and plus i just thought they looked cool! haha
