Make it Soft by Elaine Sanderson

January 31st, 2012 2:21 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Make something soft.

I approached this task thinking I was going to knit something or make something out of yarn but then I decided that really wasnt all that original. So I went to Michaels and just started to look around to see if I could come up with an idea of making something soft. I passed a row that has different wood objects and then the idea hit me. I got an object shaped like a sun. My next thought was how to make this wood sun soft.

I continued walking through the store and passed the row with all the t-shirts and felt. Thats when I figured out how to make it soft. Using three different pieces of felt I would decorate the boring wood sun and make it soft at the same time.

I figured I can give this to someone as some sort of creative gift.

I like that you wandered around and arbitrarily picked out a wooden sun. It always seems funny to me how many random wooden objects they have at these stores.

Whoever you gave it to is lucky. That sun brightens up the place. :)
