Everyday Life by praximity

INSTRUCTIONS: Don't go to work. Don't go to school.

This is what I woke up to this morning.

That, and a vague sense of dread at what lay ahead.
Ugh.
Class.

Got a call from my mother, warning me not to go outside too much because Angel Island is on fire.
Figure I may as well spend some time going over where exactly I am right now.

I should say: at first this task and era sorta put me off. Everyday Life was a nice slogan, but everyday life had never really gotten along with me. Let's just say I prefer to dream it.

But I felt the need, anyway. So I took a day off and took stock.

Turns out I've got some things that need fixing.

(1) My Helmet.
The sadly underutilized source of my power. Broken. In a move.
Note to self: put it back together.

(2) My camera.
Not really broken. But the shutter's a little sticky. Need to do something about that.

(3) My shirts.
Plenty of cuff links. No link cuffs. Sorta problematic.

Good. Ok. Goals are good.
Although I really should go outside.

So I wandered around for a while. I'm used to Berkeley by now, at least the routes I walk every day. I figured I may as well just pick pieces of it up and take them out of context.

The little details keep Berkeley interesting for me.
Paths I take everyday only reveal more every time I pass them.

This went on for a while until I met up with Ms. Envy later in the night.
We paid a visit to my favorite place on campus, the Map library, but you'll hear about that later.

Then we wandered some more.
I think this is supposed to be a bear: I say its a raven, Ms. Envy claims its a dinosaur.
Taken my Ms. Envy herself.
We hiked up the heights I once explored earlier this year.
My old triumphs seem so distant now. I'm going to have to get used to this era.

Heck, it might not be as bad as I thought.

Poor my Helmet.

Poor my Helmet.

It IS fall.
