Fun With Food by N Mutans

INSTRUCTIONS: Play with your food.

Playing food:

For centuries, the Bell Pepper Ocarina has been the premier instrument for the creation of damp blowing noises. However, it was only recently that this grand lineage of musicians has been discovered, as mastery of the instrument is inextricably linked to character traits including extreme modesty and an intense desire for privacy. Previously, the contribution of the Bell Pepper Ocarina to orchestral settings was boastfully claimed by the French horn section, as the sound of a sloppy spit valve.

Wonderful idea! But this is clearly missing a sound sample!

Unfortunately, my camera wasn't able to pick up the faint damp noises. (And then, because these remarkable instruments are necessarily ephemeral, I ate it for breakfast.)

I may try it again so that I can see if the post-by-phone option works any better, and edit this entry in a few days.

Yeah, definitely try again, because I'm curious to hear what happens.
Power-drilling a pepper...that's so over the top!

Drilling creates much cleaner, rounder holes than the other traditional crafting method, gouging with knives. However, some aficionados value the latter for its rustic authenticity.

I've now added a video in order to provide a sound sample.
