i ventured into the depths of downtown los angeles to a music venue called "the smell" conveniently named after being located in an alley that smells, parallel to skid row. much like any hole in the wall the inside is mesmerizing, the walls are covered with drawings, and some how the image of a woman drinking from a bottle with the word "future" seemed to be the most representative idea i could relate to.
