The Highest Place by Markov Walker

INSTRUCTIONS: Go to the highest point of anything.

The rather involved story about how I turned into a cat.

I have a companion. He's a snuggly critter who keeps me company.

Wouldn't it be great to be able to transform into a cat and snuggle with him? But shapeshifting is hard and abstract advice like having a great desire for the ability is a tough place to start from.

So I decided to seek help from a Shapeshifter Tarot deck. It offers breathing exercises, study suggestions, and meditation techniques. They weren't specific enough, though. After several months of studying my cat friend, merging with him, controlling my breathing, and practicing meditation, I had still failed to turn into a cat.

Then I came across a shapeshifting spell. Specifics! This was what I needed. I gathered my feather and my oil and my candle. I lit the candle and intoned my intonations. I did this for 21 days.

But I never turned into a cat.

I had heard of things called Werecats. I tried to get bitten by a Werecat, in the hopes of becoming one myself.

But Guen was not a Werecat, and I don't know if they pass on their condition by biting anyway.

So some tasking goes on and along comes another level in SF0. I find myself with a newfound ability to sustain my life indefinitely by consuming human blood. Almost immediately, I found myself with the ability to assume the eyes and claws of a cat. A few few hammy adventures later, and the cat shape I had been striving for was mine.

Getting to The Highest Place

First things first. Cuddle time.

Now, to make my way to the tops of things.
I'll start simple and comfortable. The seat of the couch seems like a comfortable place to stay, but from the top, you can look down on a human laying on the couch with a smug superiority.

Familiar territory seems so new from the top, in such a different body. The table and the heater, both excellent new vantage points for me.

Of course, I had to give the top of my scratching post/cat bed a try, and from there it was just a few small steps to the highest place on my little bookshelf.

But my ultimate goal, my crowning Highest Place achievement in my new cat form, was the top of the ice box.

From here I can look down upon all in my domain with pride.

This is incredible!
A lot of people throw that word around, but this isn't credible at all!
