poor thing

poor thing

This is James Isac Peterson, and up until now he has spent his whole life literally inside of a cage.

trapped

trapped

This is his old cage. He sits in a corner, with no one but a frog for company. James used to live in my friend's frog tank.

There he is

There he is

A few days ago, one of his palm trees fell off, and it looked like he was headed for the bin. I decided that it would be better to put him out to pasture, in a life of easy living, soaking up some sun.

Missing one leafy bit

Missing one leafy bit

I thought that James might like a spot on the windowsill, where he could get some sun. But he didn't look happy, so I thought to myself "where would a palm tree be happy"?

the life of luxury

the life of luxury

By a shoreline of course! There is a lovely spot behind my old school where James would feel right at home.

looking for just the right place

looking for just the right place

I considered this spot for him, but it was a rocky beach, and had weird stuff floating in the water, so I kept looking.

the perfect spot

the perfect spot

Eventually I found a nice sandy spot and settled James right in.

glorious trees

glorious trees

James is much happier now, out in wide open spaces, with his fellow trees all around to keep him company.

Perfect completion!

He looks so happy in his new home. May he live out the last of his years in peace. (:
