Fortune Not Cookie by Billy V

February 24th, 2010 5:19 PM

INSTRUCTIONS: Install fortunes of your devising in permanent or non-permanent media in openable structures, such that passersby will come across them.

I'm a music major, and as such I thought it would be appropriate to hide fortunes in all the places we music majors tend to practice. This is, of course, our 25 practice rooms! I sat in the computer lab gazing off into a wall and trying to think of some ways to make all of my friends smile throughout the day. Those fortunes are now hidden in pianos, hymnals, piano benches, containers of Lysol wipes, and lobby furniture.

The fortunes are as follows:

Someone loves you.

Tell someone that you love them.

You are beautiful.

Replace a bad habit with a good one.

Buy your books online; it's cheaper.

Treat yourself to a nice meal; you deserve it.

Gain the acceptance of others by first accepting yourself.

Tell someone close a secret - something you've never told anyone. See? Now didn't that feel nice?

Call an old friend. He or she might have news for you.
