Quoth Sunshine:
So last week, on the strong advice of Lincoln and Danielle, I set out to Task with a complete stranger from Alaska. This turned out to be an excellent idea! Also along for most of the day were Bryce (aka JB), GYØ Adam, and Anna. The five of us wandered all throughout San Francisco, going on delightful adventures, and thoroughly failing to actually get any Tasking done. We tried to find roof access in some fancy apartment building... Adam and Anna pulled it off just fine, as they looked reasonably normal. Bryce, Khia, and I were stopped by the guard, though, due to our rather... unusual... modes of dress. Bryce tried to finagle our way in with some quick talk about how he lived there, but had just moved in, and had forgotten his own apartment number... the guard had none of it. Oh well.
Eventually, late evening came, and Khia and I found ourselves back at my house, our fellow adventurers having retired to their respective domiciles for the time being. We were still determined to get SOME Tasking done, though, because seriously! That was the whole POINT, right!? As I made crepes, she perused the Task list until she found something that seemed like a good idea. Thus follows the Task we settled on and completed.
SO. Every player knows about BART, courtesy of the BARTPA. But how many people in the game actually know what BART stands for? For that matter, I realized, how many people who actually RIDE on it realize what it stands for!? So, having settled upon a public education campaign, Khia and I sat down to make some educational signs.
Unfortunately, before we could post them, her father called and threatened to have me arrested for kidnapping her. Despite his threat carrying extremely little weight, we decided it would be best to get her back for the time being. And so, dodging imaginary highway patrolmen, I delivered her home, parting (but only for the time being!). A few days later, when I managed to finally find the time, I posted the signs we had made outside of North Berkeley BART. Almost a week later, the signs are in fact still up!

So... do YOU know BART stands for?
(Note: I realize that technically BART is already an acronym, and thus this is against the exact wording of the Task. But I feel that it's still thoroughly in the spirit of it, and thus worthy of it.)

Oh hey. I guess he's right XD But the way people use BART, it really might as well just be its own word.
I quite enjoyed my short stay. It was very entertaining. Random black guys screaming nonsense at me, bush men going around scaring people, gay rights activists, and lots of interesting places. The whole atmosphere was very exciting.
I must say my favorite part was the latter part of the day i spent with everyone. We went to the wave organ. I stole Ben's shoes. Then we returned and sang random patriotic songs, to include God Save the Queen. And then I got to spend lots of time with Ben. I took quite a liking to him. He's very interesting and fun. Though then my night was ruined by my father and mother. The trouble continued once I got home. And so, though I had had a very nice day, i went to bed very angry and hurt.
But it was worth it.

My trusty aluminum tape. Man I love this stuff. Highly recommended for all players. Thin metal backed with extremely powerful adhesive. Costs only slightly more than duct tape.

Nice acronym--I'm sure it'll bring a smile to my face for years to come. :) Also, I'll have to look into this aluminum tape...
