Explore Greatness In Art by Sean Mahan

November 15th, 2005 1:32 PM / Location: 37.782401,-122.4100

INSTRUCTIONS: Purchase or create replicas of the greatest work of art in the history of humanity.

This reproduction of the Mona Lisa was actually a birthday present from fellow players "SPL" and "IKB". You see, there was a time when I was lost; I couldn't differentiate between what was good art and what was mere mimeticry. And then my friends gave me the tip I needed: "SEAN - THIS IS GOOD ART", scralled in red paint on the plastic wrapped around The Greatest Work of Art in the History of Humanity

So the Mona Lisa has been up in my don't-call-it-a-cubicle-area since Monday, and I've yet to get much in the way of any comments on it. Probably because people know how seriously I take art. It's laudable for them to not risk offending me by assuming that there is some ironic component to my displaying la gioconda, don't you think?
