Trash Liberation by Sean Mahan

September 26th, 2006 12:05 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Pull something still of value - as itself or as a part of something greater - out of a dumpster or trash receptacle. Use it, and provide appropriate proof.

(Note: No points awarded for picking up stuff left on street corners and curbs around the city; it must be liberated from an actual trash receptacle.)

Not one, but TWO pieces of trash - the first being part of a tie rack, which I found in a pile of other stuff in NYC and then carried around for a day or two. The second was a piece of wood - which, admittedly, was exactly what I'd been looking for. In any event, they came together to form something greater - the trophy that went to the lucky and skillful winner of Journey to the End of the Night - Manhattan.

- smaller
