Finger painting never gets old by Tac Haberdash

August 8th, 2008 11:18 AM

INSTRUCTIONS: Paint yourself.

It started at my sternum.

Creeping. A green arrow slowly formed itself on my stomach, drawn by a green sharpie clenched tightly in my left hand. Always the rebellious one, my left hand had taken it into its knuckles to claim the rest of my body in its name. Pale, defenseless flesh fell before it's tri-colored attack. Soon the abdomen was slathered in ink, and the rest of the torso was threatened with the same fate.

I tried to fight hand with hand, only to find that my right hand had become compromised!

Thankfully, the spread of blue tendrils was stopped by the blue armband I wear as a memento of JTTEOTN: LA.

But the beast would not be stayed. Stymied at my right elbow, it expanded towards my left shoulder, threatening to devour itself in a final act of defiance. I could not allow it.

Dangerous miscreant though it may be, my left hand is like a brother to me. I shudder to think where I would be without it. I couldn't allow it to do itself in. Thinking quickly, I snatched my red chaser armband from where it lay, rolled up on my dresser. As the deadly design sped towards my shoulder, I deftly tied the piece of cloth around my left arm, stopping my left hand in its tracks.

I was relieved. The battle was over. Thankfully, there were no casualties.

But I have some interesting scars...
