Actually, you don't need a deep fryer at all. I made a huge (like a foot tall) fortune cookie where the fortune was my resume for a job for a marketing company that wanted the resumes to come in in a creative manner. The difficult thing is forming the cookie before the dough hardens. I can give you the recipe if you like.

i've taken already made fortune cookies and steamed them, and they open right up! then you can insert the message of your choice, hold the ends together and they harden right up.
only problem... how to get them in packages and have people actually want to open them...

This totally happened to me! Maybe someone really sneaky on SF0 planned it. I was wandering around my living room just cleaning up my house about 2 weeks ago. I'd spent the weekend with my boyfriend, after being sick for a week, and he'd left and I was just wondering what to do with myself for the afternoon. As I moved stuff around and cleaned, a fortune just appeared on my coffee table that I hadn't seen before. It said, "You will take a pleasant journey to a place far away."
I asked the boyfriend later and he had no clue where the fortune was from...it's just some kind of happy magic. So, which of you guys planted it?
And, where should I go? If I plan the trip, does it no longer count, or is the fortune telling me that if I plan something it will go well?
