This is a redo of this bad boy. And this one is much better, but I need a clarification or two.

"You may not see, touch, speak to or listen to another human being, or other type of animal"

Does that mean that if I'm in my solitude, and a dog outside barks, or a fly buzzes past my ear, or some jaunty birds decide to start singing, that I have to start over? Because those birds, those birds are everywhere. It is very difficult to escape the sounds of birds no matter where you go.
Also, another related point, what do you consider listening to another human? If we hear a car backfire or an airplane fly overhead, or if I myself fart or cough or something, do those count as having heard a human?

I can see how one can't really help their bodily functions, so if you fart, then that's is something you can hear. I discourage but don't disallow talking to yourself.

The point of this task is to get away from external distraction. I understand if things like flies and birds are around, but don't seek them out. This task might work better in a house then camping because you are less exposed to wild life of all kinds. If it's easy for you to chill out in the forrest and look at the trees for a week, then to make this a better shplank, it might be better for you to be outside. (the same goes for vice versa.)

I trust anyone who would be high level enough to do this, or would want to do this not to cut corners, and to try to get the experience out of it that is intended.

This task is basically asking members to meditate for a week solid in a highly enclosed and sound-proof environment. It's kinda absurd. And given that you cannot have access to any media (pen and paper included, for once you write something you cannot re-read it), you won't be able to properly communicate the task after a week as there will be no record and time becomes blurred when you're in solitary for more than a day or two...

I'm skeptical.

You do have access to a piece of paper and pen...

Ya know what, I'm sick of trying to do details. I feel like there is an intent behind this and the details matter much less.

This should suffice

I like the ambiguity of the last one the best. Solitude means a lot of different things to different people and bad tasks can be flagged anyway... so I think the less clarification the better.
All this said, I don't want to seem like I'm just harping on what other folks are doing while not contributing myself, I really appreciate those taking the time to make new tasks. After all, without any tasks what would we do?
